Hotel Information
We have hotel room blocks booked at two local hotels; see below for more details and reservation links. You must book through these links to receive the group rate.
Getting to the Venue
Shuttles will be available from our preferred hotels; stay tuned for more details!
For those who wish to drive, Waveny is conveniently located off the Merrit Parkway (CT-15) with abundant parking. There are many lots, so make sure to park in the lots closest to Waveny House - it is a long trek from the lots by the baseball fields!
If you are getting a rideshare to Waveny, please note that the driveway up to the house may be blocked prior to 3:50 PM. If you arrive before the driveway opens, you can be dropped off at the end of the driveway and walk in; if you’d like to be taken straight to the door please plan to arrive between 3:50 and 4:20 PM
Getting to Connecticut
Flying
The New York area airports (JFK, LGA, EWR, HPN) are closest. White Plains (HPN) will land you just minutes from the CT border; it’s only about 15-20 minutes from the terminal to the hotels. However flights to HPN are limited and it is generally best for ‘commuter’ flights from nearby states.
We recommend guests who are flying into New York arrive on Thursday, as travel time from NYC airports can be over an hour due to traffic and construction. Public transit options from the NYC area airports are not ideal and can take upwards of 3 hours to reach Connecticut, with multiple transfers.
There is significant construction surrounding JFK specifically, so make sure to account for extra travel time; pre-booking a car service may be preferable to you, as travelers may be required to take a shuttle bus to Uber/Lyft rideshare pickup zones depending on your terminal.
Train
Connecticut is easily accessible via Amtrak or Metro North from the east coast. Guests from New York or the Westchester area can take Metro North to New Canaan, and get an Uber from there to the venue. If you are staying overnight, the Stamford and Greenwich stops are both a short taxi or rideshare away from the hotels (the Marriott is also a fairly easy walk from the train station if you dont mind crossing busy multi-lane avenues!)
Guests from New England or Pennsylvania & further south can take an Amtrak to Stamford.
