Sights to See

The Glass House

The Glass House is a historic house & art museum in New Canaan, Connecticut. It was built in 1948–49 by the architect Philip Johnson, who designed the home as his weekend retreat. The New York Times has called the home his "signature work".

Maritime Aquarium

Our local aquarium features fresh & saltwater exhibits, adorable seals, a shark touch tank, plus a 4-D theater & catamaran tours of Long Island Sound.

Silverman’s Farm

Visiting Connecticut in the fall wouldn't be complete without some fall harvest treats! Pick your own pumpkins & apples or visit the farm store for delicious pies, candies, and more.

Shop Locally

Sometimes called “The Rodeo Drive of the East” there’s a little bit of something for almost everyone on Greenwich Ave. From high-end designer stores to popular fast-fashion chains and local staples, “The Ave” as it’s called by locals is a great place to spend a sunny day in Greenwich. Don’t miss the great dining options as well!

The intersection of Post Road E and Main St in Westport features major retailers like Anthropologie, Barnes & Noble, Athleta, Lululemon, and more. Start at the far end of Main Street with a sandwich from Rye Ridge Deli, and work your way down to the end of the street, ending with a lovely walk along the river near the library!

A postcard-picture-perfect, extremely walkable downtown, New Canaan boasts a variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy. Focus on the area between Elm & Main Streets, which features a great mix of local storefronts and brand names. Pennyweights on Elm Street is a favorite when Chip is looking for a gift for Courtney ;)

Visit the world’s largest dairy store!

Stew Leonard’s, in Norwalk, CT, is a grocery store experience unto itself. Equally famous for it’s food (think farm-fresh dairy, meat, and produce) and it’s fun animatronics (Courtney knows all the words to all the songs…) Stew Leonard’s is a must-see in the area. If nothing else, grab a cup of their delicious soft-serve ice cream!
